The Posets Maladeta Natural Park is a unique territory where you can contemplate the beauty of high mountains and alpine environments, grand peaks, breathtaking valleys, an enormous biodiversity of fauna and flora, and an immeasurable cultural and ethnographic heritage.
The Benasque Interpretation Center offers an interpreted route to the Villamorta Lakes from La Besurta to discover this territory of wild nature. The activity follows a low-difficulty route with a 200-meter elevation gain, punctuated by explanatory stops, until you reach the beautiful Villamorta Lakes.
A route through which you can observe the fauna and flora of this Protected Natural Area and contemplate one of its greatest treasures: the Maladeta massif and its glaciers. These are currently the southernmost in Europe and the largest in the Pyrenees, despite the fact that their retreat is already unstoppable and many are in danger of disappearing in less than a decade due to global warming. Meeting point: Benasque Interpretation Center.
From the meeting point, at 10:00 a.m., transportation is by private vehicle to the Vado parking lot, and from the Vado, transportation is by bus to Besurta. Each participant must pay for their own ticket.
