11th Benasque Mountains Grand Marathon 2026: Conquer the Heart of the Pyrenees!
Are you ready for an experience that will change you from the inside out? Next Saturday, June 13, 2026, the legendary Avenida de los Tilos in Benasque will become the epicenter of Spanish trail running with the celebration of the eleventh edition of the Benasque Mountains Grand Marathon (GMMB).
Recently recognized as one of the 24 most beautiful races in Spain and awarded on multiple occasions as the best trail race in Aragon and one of the best in Spain, this event is much more than a race: it's a wild immersion in the Posets-Maladeta Natural Park.
Three challenges, one unforgettable finish line
Whatever your level, the GMMB has a distance designed to test your limits in an environment of immeasurable beauty:
42K | The Queen Race: An epic 42km route with 2,699m of elevation gain. It crosses five legendary valleys (Estós, Literola, Vallibierna, Ardonés, and Benasque), culminating at the summit of Tuca de Estibafreda at 2,702m. It's the dream challenge for lovers of pure mountain running.
28K | The Direct to the Peak: With 1,630m of elevation gain, it's the perfect option for those seeking a demanding and technical climb with breathtaking panoramic views before a thrilling descent to the finish line.
19K | Estós Valley Loop: A faster but equally intense distance with 737m of elevation gain. Ideal for savoring the essence of the Pyrenees and enjoying the majesty of the Estós Valley under the watchful gaze of Perdiguero Peak.
