San Marcial and San Pedro Festivals in Benasque 2026: Full Program and Family Activities
The town of Benasque dresses up from June 26th to July 1st to celebrate its traditional patron saint festivals in honor of San Marcial and San Pedro. These days are filled with history, music, community spirit, and above all, a wide variety of activities designed for families to enjoy.
These festivals are the perfect opportunity for families to share unforgettable moments, combining the magic of local traditions, such as the famous Ball de Benás, with modern playgrounds, water games, and shows for all ages.
Highlights for Enjoying with Children and Families
This year's program places a special focus on children and families, offering a variety of safe and fun activities:
Large Playgrounds and Foam Parties: On Saturday, June 27th and Sunday, June 28th, the area around the sports center and municipal swimming pools will be transformed into play zones, featuring a water park perfect for cooling off.
Costume Afternoon: On Sunday the 28th, the Town Hall Square will host a large costume contest with entertainment and music for children to show off their creativity.
16th Children's Cycling Tour: On Wednesday, July 1st, a healthy and fun activity to promote family sport with an adapted route connecting Benasque, Anciles, and Eriste.
Living Tradition: This is an ideal opportunity for children to experience local culture firsthand through the Ball dels Homes (Men's Dance), the Ball de les Dones (Women's Dance), and the vibrant folklore of the region.

Friday, June 26: The Start of the Celebration
7:30 p.m. The festival organizers place the festival scarf on the saint, accompanied by the El Pincho brass band. Music and entertainment at the Rotonda del Santo (Saint's Roundabout).
8:30 p.m. Traditional ringing of the bells.
9:00 p.m. Reading of the opening proclamation by a group representing the Ball de Benás (Benás Dance), along with authorities and festival organizers, in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento (Town Hall Square) of Benasque.
9:30 p.m. Opening firework display of the 2026 Festival in honor of Saint Martial and Saint Peter, accompanied by the El Pincho brass band. Distribution of ponchos (traditional sweets) and pastries in gratitude to Pastelería Laplana (Laplana Pastry Shop).
12:30 a.m. Dance session with the Orquesta Fórmula (Formula Orchestra).
4:30 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. Mobile disco with Gapo and Cuco di Mondi in the Town Hall Square.
Saturday, June 27: Children's Games Day
11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Large children's playground outside the Benasque sports center.
12:00 p.m. Children's foam party at the Benasque sports center.
5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Large children's playground outside the Benasque sports center.
5:00 p.m. Demonstration of the traditional game of Les Quilles by the Dones de Benás in Les Quilles Square.
5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Games and Gymkhana (for participants 18 years and older).
6:00 p.m. Third Choir Festival at the Benasque Church, featuring the Voces Amor Lir Choir from Salou, the Ars Musicae Choir from Huesca, and the Els Pitarrois del Freixe Choir from the Benasque Valley.
8:30 p.m. Dance session with the Phoenix Orchestra.
12:30 a.m. Second dance session with the Phoenix Orchestra.
4:30 a.m. Mobile disco with ROM b2b RDOM and Kals b2b Hektor at the Benasque Sports Center.
Sunday, June 28: Costumes and Water Fun
11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Children's Water Park at the Benasque Municipal Swimming Pools.
12:00 p.m. Children's Foam Party.
6:00 p.m. Afternoon and costume contest with music by DJs Narsa and Gapo in the Benasque Town Hall Square. Entertainment, music, and family fun.
12:30 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. Musical performance by the Gato Ventura Group (Extremoduro Tribute) in the Benasque Town Hall Square.
2:30 a.m. Disco with DJ Andri in the Town Hall Square.
Monday, June 29: Tradition in San Pedro and visit to Anciles
11:30 a.m. Rocket launch in honor of San Pedro.
12:00 p.m. Aragonese Mass in honor of San Pedro.
12:30 p.m. Procession through the streets of Anciles.
1:00 p.m. Anciles Dance.
1:30 p.m. Popular snacks in the tent at the entrance to Anciles.
5:30 p.m. Serenade for the women, stewards, and authorities of Benasque, accompanied by the Rondalla of the Aires Monegrinos Folkloric Group.
6:00 p.m. Traditional Guiñote Tournament at Bar Ansils (Ángel and Javier Parda Memorial). Official preliminary round for qualification to the 2026 Full Energía Guiñote Grand Prix.
8:30 p.m. Dance session with the Venus Orchestra in Anciles.
12:30 a.m. Second dance session with the Venus Orchestra in Anciles. Afterwards, distribution of hot chocolate and pastries (courtesy of El Llandero) and subsequent procession up to Benasque with the El Pincho Brass Band.
Tuesday, June 30: Saint Martial's Day
8:00 a.m. Rocket launch in honor of Saint Martial.
11:30 a.m. Traditional ringing of the bells.
12:00 p.m. Aragonese Mass in honor of the patron saint of Benasque, San
Martial.
1:00 PM. Procession through the streets of Benasque.
2:00 PM. Ball dels Homes (Men's Dance), with the traditional changing of the stewards.
3:00 PM. Popular snacks in the Plaza de los Porches de Llausia.
4:00 PM. Street parade accompanied by the El Pincho brass band.
6:00 PM. Jota festival by the Aires Monegrinos folk group in the Plaza les Quilles in Benasque.
6:00 PM. Guiñote Tournament at the Hotel Aragüells (Official preliminary round for the 2026 Full Energía Guiñote Grand Prix).
8:30 PM. Dance session with the En Esencia Orchestra.
12:30 AM. Second dance session with the En Esencia Orchestra. 4:00 a.m. Mobile disco with DJ Güly at the Benasque Sports Center.
Wednesday, July 1st: Children's sports, community gathering, and closing festivities.
11:00 a.m. 16th Annual Children's Cycling Tour of the San Marcial Festival, organized by the Benasque Valley Cycling Association. Departure from the sports center, route Benasque-Anciles-Benasque (extendable to Eriste), followed by refreshments.
1:30 p.m. Lunch with our senior citizens at the Hotel El Pilar in Benasque.
7:00 p.m. Women's Dance.
8:00 p.m. Distribution of traditional ponchos.
9:00 p.m. Community gathering and dinner at the Benasque Sports Center. A social event where everyone brings their own food, and the Town Hall, along with the festival organizers, will provide meat dishes, drinks, and desserts.
11:00 p.m. The festivities will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display and a grand finale of firecrackers near the Benasque Sports Center.
